1) If my TV is 720p (not 1080p), my DVDs look better on a 1080p upscaling DVD player with HDMI output, or saw no difference with age (probably 3 years) Sharp DVD / VCR with component slots I am now .. I've heard HDMI components and produce more or less the same picture.
The movies seem a little distorted (maybe a bit tight) and less to clean the LCD TV as my old CRT, I'm only using composite cables when old (no component / HDMI yet). When I click on the screw for this problem? or I should be extended to 1080 DVD player to a clean and clear?

2. My old CRT TV produces darker blacks than LCD (contrast with 12000:1). Regular HDTV there is no comparison, the LG beautiful color and clarity, but there are many dark scenes in movies, the lack of black can be boring.
I think my question is that the TV a better contrast in general .. produced plasma or LCD? What a contrast ratio produces deep blacks?
